Bear Grylls- Sands Of The Scorpion Book review 14/20
Author- Bear Grylls
Genre- Adventure, Thriller, Action
The first setting was at home. Then it was in the plane because Beck Granger and his friend Peter were going with Uncle Al to Africa. Then it was that they fell into the burning hot desert called the Sahara desert where the snakes, scorpions and diamond smugglers live. And then the last setting was in their house/ hut again where Uncle Al was.
The main characters of this book are Beck Granger- the main hero, Peter- his companion, Uncle Al but Uncle Al is only in the plane but they had to Bail because they were danger and forgot about Al. Beck is 13 years old and Peter is 12. Beck tells Peter everything like what to do because he has been through this all the time but Peter hasn’t so he has to tell him to do everything.
Beck, Peter and Uncle Al are on a plane and they are going to Africa to see what their country is like. They were hanging around in the plane and found 2 smugglers trying to take their stuff. They didn't want to go but they had to because of the smugglers. Uncle Al was still in the plane though. But they had to. The smugglers had an axe and Silk parachutes. But Beck was sneaky enough and stole theirs and peter was scared as hell. He didn’t want to jump from like a 930 feet high plane but there was only 2 choices. Die Or Jump and survive. Peter didn’t know how to put his on but Beck did so he did the honors to. Then they jumped and the smugglers nicked a diamond that Peter had for his journey. But it was only a scratch. Peter was screaming so loud Beck nearly went deaf. But they threw a arrow at Beck’s parachute but he just clinged on to Peter’s. Then they landed safely down but they couldn’t see anything in the distance and it was so hot. So they made a campsite and put silk on it so they stay cold. Then Beck said we should go hunting at night. They started walking and after about half a mile they found the most poisonous blue spider in the world along with 1 snake surrounding them and there were the 2 smugglers. They were trapped. What would they do next?
I rate this book a 5/5. I assure you would want to read this. I liked how the book had lots of adventure in it. There were no dislikes. It was Da Bast.
