The Maze Runner #19

Author: James Dashner

There is a kid who wakes up in an elevator not remembering anything, other than his name Thomas. When the doors crank open he could only see a bunch of teenage boys gazing at the confused boy. Thomas gets up and sees a bunch teenagers welcoming him to the Glade, which is a large enclosure at the center of a deathly and horrible maze.

Thomas didn't have a clue on how or why he came there and what shuck thing is going on in the world outside. All they know apart from their names is that the giant concrete walls slide open and they risk anything to find a way out.

After a while for the first time ever a girl comes out of the box (elevator). Then everything starts to fall apart; the walls weren't closing and everything turns into chaos.

I liked this whole book because it has adventure and suspense.
I rate this book 6/5.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid

Image result for Diary of a wimpy kid hard luckThe book I read was a diary of a wimpy kid, which wasn’t too bad. The best thing about the book was that it  had comedy which entertained me even more, and it had lots of twists and turns in the book.

Greg's friends called Rowley is his best friend he ever had, But you think that best friends never ditch, well think again, Rowley ditches his best friend for a girl. Greg was surprised to see how fast friendship can break.

Greg is a funny person and is filled with humor. At school somehow Rowley didn’t seem to happy, Greg was suspicious when Greg found out that Rowley was no longer spending most of his life with that girl he requested apologizes.

One day they both meet up and talked how that girl broke up with Rowley and forgave each other, and until that day, they most promised not to put girls in front of friendship.

The Girl Who Blew Up Her Brother!

The Girl Who Blew Up Her Brother,
Author - Christopher Milne.
18/20

This story is about a young girl named, Janet Collins. Who was terrified about lollies, hated to watch tv, and absolutely dislikes holidays. I thought to myself about… ‘Would you rather be poor, with many friends or rich and have no friends!’ Janet’s hobbies were reading, learning and she was full of excitement of learning every day just to have knowledge for her whole life, but she had a deep, deep secret and it is not pleasant. Janet wanted to BLOW UP HER BROTHER! Janet disliked her brother, so much. His pranks, his personality and really just didn’t want him to be her brother. Janet wanted to have payback. It got to the point that in her spare time she would sit and read about bombs, use her chemistry kit to help her make experiments. At last, it was ready. Adam had no idea what was going to happen to him but he needed to know how it felt getting your hair pulled from your brother every day, just because he thought it was fun! Adam needed payback and guess what, he got it!

I liked the intensity and enthusiasm.

And then the last setting was in their house/ hut again where Uncle Al was.

The main characters of this book are Beck Granger- the main hero, Peter- his companion, Uncle Al but Uncle Al is only in the plane but they had to Bail because they were danger and forgot about Al. Beck is 13 years old and Peter is 12. Beck tells Peter everything like what to do because he has been through this all the time but Peter hasn’t so he has to tell him to do everything.

Beck, Peter and Uncle Al are on a plane and they are going to Africa to see what their country is like. They were hanging around in the plane and found 2 smugglers trying to take their stuff. They didn't want to go but they had to because of the smugglers. Uncle Al was still in the plane though. But they had to. The smugglers had an axe and Silk parachutes. But Beck was sneaky enough and stole theirs and peter was scared as hell. He didn’t want to jump from like a 930 feet high plane but there was only 2 choices. Die Or Jump and survive. Peter didn’t know how to put his on but Beck did so he did the honors to. Then they jumped and the smugglers nicked a diamond that Peter had for his journey. But it was only a scratch. Peter was screaming so loud Beck nearly went deaf. But they threw a arrow at Beck’s parachute but he just clinged on to Peter’s. Then they landed safely down but they couldn’t see anything in the distance and it was so hot. So they made a campsite and put silk on it so they stay cold. Then Beck said we should go hunting at night. They started walking and after about half a mile they found the most poisonous blue spider in the world along with 1 snake surrounding them and there were the 2 smugglers. They were trapped. What would they do next?

By Bear Grylls
Genre: adventure and action
16/20
The setting of this book is in Antarctica. This is where Beck, Uncle Al and Tikaani crash land and have to survive in the cold temperature.

The main characters are Beck, Uncle Al and Tikaani. Beck is a responsible and smart 13 year old because he knows alot about surviving in the wild. Uncle Al is a patient person because he had to wait three days for help when he was injured. Tikaani is 13, Becks friend and is from Anakat. Tikaani is the opposite to Beck, he has no survival skills.

Beck, Uncle Al and Tikaani are all on a plane to Anakat, located in Antarctica. The reason they are going is to drop Tikaani of with his family. Tikaani was sent away to learn more about technology but now he is returning. The pilot said through the intercom. “There’s a storm ahead were going to have to change routes”. Then suddenly the engine stopped and the pilot yelled “mayday, mayday”. Half an hour later Beck and Tikaani are alright but the pilot has passed away. On the other side, Uncle Al is knocked out with a serious leg injury. Stranded with Sub-zero temperature. Will they survive???

I rate this book a 5/5. I liked how the book also had facts on surviving in the wilderness. I had no dislikes.

No Place For GRUBBS!

No place for GRUBBS!
Author - Peter Viska
17/20

For most parents, taking care of their own children, rushing to work to be their on time, and being a taxi driver, every hour of the day are some of the most difficult tasks to do each day. The Grubbs. Is a family of 2 parents and one child. Mrs, Mr and Charles Grubbs. Charles grew up and became a very tidy, spotless person. Unlike his parents they were disgusting, messy people, who acted like animals. Scoffed down, scrumptious, delicious food. Both who didn't work, because they are to lazy to get up, bright and early in the morning, but the parents who loved and adored their child, like anything other parent would. Charles liked everything in the house to be perfect. Exquisite paintings straight on the wall, not on an angle. Electronics to be dust every hour of the day. I like to call Charles the Tidy Freak!

I loved how the book wasn’t to complicated to read, nice and easy.

I didn’t dislike anything.

Death cure

Death cure

This book is about teenage Thomas who has just come out of the maze and is taken to a secret facility to be tested on. Wicked is planning to restore the memory of the survivors of the maze.

But Thomas has remembered more than wicked and the scientist think, and knows that wicked is not good.

The lying is over but the truth is far more dangerous than the survivors could imagine. Will anyone survive the death cure ?

I rate this book a ⅗
I think that it is a better idea to read the other two books first before reading this book.
If you read this book first you will find it hard to understand.

I liked the descriptive language in the book

I disliked how the book switch from one character talking to another character talking because it was confusing.
