This graphic novel is a story of two tribes, one with plenty water and food to feed an army, well the other, starving and willing to sacrifice things to survive. Two lovers from opposite tribes, Kahu and Kuratawhiti, plan to bring their fighting tribes together through their marriage. But tragedy rome's as Kahu defends his beloved against his raging sister.

A 3 year old boy climbing over a 3 foot fence, doodling through bushes and wire, falling down a 50 foot drop into a 400 pound gorilla exhibit. Emotional people saying “that it was the mothers fault for not supervising her child!” Terrified people saying “why didn’t the zoo keepers, do something earlier?” People still ask “why wasn’t Harambe tranquillise not shot?”  Most say, “tranquilliser's take too long and annoy animals they go crazy.” Zoo keepers made a decision to shoot Harambe. He didn’t know his strengths, very confused and if the child was in Harambe’s enclosure any longer the child could have been badly hurt or worse, killed. the 3 year boy was dragged by his ankles through the water, while his head was hitting the concrete repeatedly. The child's mother screaming for help, she knew that his life was endangered, but still tried to keep him calm, “Mummy loves you, it's going to be okay, stay calm.” He cried and yelled, he was terrified, “MUM!”  Harambe was killed. People visit his grave, ‘RIP!’ The boy survived the accident, returning home with only a concussion and a few scars.

I think the Zoo keepers made the right choice. They saved the boy’s life!

This book is a very interesting graphic novel set in the village and it is about a chief and all the people of his village are dieing and he wants to find a magic stone and put it in the ground but the holder of the stone gets told if it can be borrowed for 100 moons and the stone holder says I will do it for an exchange. Years later the stone holder comes and setall the chief and locks him up until the son marries the daughter.  The daughter and son train and train until they try to free the dad.

This book is about a girl named Lilith who is living in a hell all thanks to a boy named Cam. Cam broke Lilith's heart three millennia ago when they were dating and Lilith is now suffering because of his actions. Lilith is an average teen girl who wasn't very popular. She went to Trumbull High School and felt left out by the other girls because she wasn't as popular as they were. The girl she hated most was called Chloe King. The whole school knew who she was and everybody admired her. Chloe would insult Lilith as much as possible and she enjoyed doing so.

Lilith was living in a hell controlled by a guy named Lucifer. He had a spherical, glass ball and that ball was the hell Lilith was living in. Lucifer had trapped Lilith in the glass ball because of Cam actions. Cam would often meet Lucifer and beg him to set Lilith free but Lucifer wasn't going to let her go so easily, so he made a get with Cam. The bet was that Cam had 15 days to win Lilith's heart in order to set her free from Lucifer's hell. " Easy." Cam said with confidence. " But." Lucifer added. " If you do not succeed, there will be a place in a hell for you too. " Cam was nervous now that Lucifer had told him his part of the bet but he maintained his confidence. Cam Lucifer and Cam shook hands and Cam's 15 days begun.

Cam explored around the neighbourhood, hoping to find Lilith somewhere, today he was in luck. He found Lilith sitting by a tree in a forest named Rattle Snake Creek. There was a special Carob tree that Lilith would always sit under and play her guitar. Cam approached Lilith slowly, not wanting to startle her and simply said "hello." Lilith jumped up with a shock, she wasn't expecting someone to meet her. She turned around just to see Cam staring directly at her. " Who are you and what are you doing here? " Lilith asked. " My name is Cam and I've just moved here. " Lilith was confused as to why a random boy started talking to her but she didn't say anything. She didn't know why, but she hated Cam and she didn't even know him. Something about him made her very angry but she didn't know what is was.

The next day, Lilith was at school opening her locker when she heard a familiar voice. The voice of Cam. She glanced up from her locker just to see Cam opening the one next to hers. " Not you again. " Lilith thought angrily. Cam knew that Lilith didn't like him at all but he didn't give up. He was determined to win Lilith's heart and set her free from the hell she was in. The bell rang and the hallway was absolute chaos with students running around and teachers getting to their classes. Lilith sat down at her usual seat in her homeroom class and funnily enough, Cam was in the same homeroom as her, sitting no further than three seats down. Lilith was very, very angry and annoyed because it seemed as if Cam was following her around. Cam knew that she felt this way but still he was not discouraged.

Days flew by and Lilith seemed to hate Cam more than she did before. At this point, Cam was feeling a bit disappointed with himself because he was confident that he could win over Lilith's heart with ease, but know he thinks the complete opposite. Cam needs to up his game if he wants to set Lilith free. What can Cam do to win Lilith's heart with the small amount of time he has left? Time is ticking away and Cam is flustered, he doesn't know what do to.

My Questions So Far:
Will Cam be able to win Lilith's heart and set her free?
Will Lilith start to grow feelings for Cam?
Who will win the bet, Lucifer or Cam?

I rate this book a 10/10

Likes:
I love the story line of this book because it kept me hooked all the way through, even until then end. I never felt like the story was getting boring because there were twists and turns along the way that I never saw coming. I also love the combination of drama, mystery and romance in this book because it all ties in together to make what I would say is a perfect book.

Dislikes:
I had no dislikes.

Amos Daragon - The Twilight of the Gods by Bryan Perro #20

Dragons, also known as ancients, are being reborn into the world, living in the mountains of the north. The prophecy foretells that an elf would bring peace and kill the dragon….   But elfs left long ago. Baron Samedi is the creator of the ancients, he is a god who wants to resurrect the dragons into existence so that he can become the most powerful god. But standing in his way, is a young mask wearer who has only just received the mask of fire including water. Amos Daragon is his name, with his friend Beorf; a beorite who can change into a bear and back into a man.

They lived in Great Bratel living with the king and friend, Junos. Junos used to be one of the knights of balance, but became king soon later. While Amos was getting used to his fire powers, an army of red caps (goblins) had attacked the castle and town. Pillaging and slaughtering many innocent people. Amos was so enraged that he lost control and burnt down everything. The two friends Amos and Beorf end up going to the Forest of Tarkasis where the queen, Gwenfadrilla, had given them magical elf like ears to understand any language.

Now the mask wearer and the beorite head to the north to find the dragon Ragnarok, who is to be the one to bring dragons into the world. A beorite village is found on the way, where Beorf meets his family who fight alongside them to kill the Red Caps. But they also meet vikings, flesh eating mermen, and a powerful spirit. Can the two clans, vikings and manbears team up to restore balance? Or will the race of fire breathing lizards be released into the world? Only you can find out in the third series of the Amos Daragon chronicles.

I liked this book because it’s full of action and beasts you can only hear in a story tale.

I don’t really have any dislikes.

Tom Gates - Extra special treats (not) #17

Author: Liz Pichon.

Genre: Realistic fiction.

Synopsis: Tom Gates (the main character) had never gotten a star people badge before, and he is desperate to get one. This boy in Tom's class called Marcus Meldrew was a former star people holder. So he went on and on about his badge. Tom had enough and he thought to himself, "what if I was a star pupil?" So that was his goal to achieve before the end of his school years. Do you think he will become a star pupil with all the snow (yeah!) and homework (groan) in his way?

I liked this book because it's easy to read and it also has humour. 

I rate this book 5/5 because of all the humour and it was an understandable book to read.

Scary tales - Good night zombie #16

Carter, Esme, and Arnold are three students accidently locked together in a nearly empty school. They are not even friends and the don't know each other. But in the basement of the school is a night janitor waiting. And out in the dark are some unpleasing creatures lurking outside...

The story tells you (the reader) how much trouble it takes to get out of a school with life threats everywhere.

I liked how the book gave me chills in the night. Suspense and horror.
I didn't like how it was too simple to read and it lacked description.
