The main characters are Jared a 13 year old boy, simon his twin brother and there older sister. These series are about this family that moved into a house in the woods. There are like these invisible goblins that are trying to destroy the world. But first they need a book that can allow them to go outside the woods. The book is inside the house but they can’t go in because there is a magical force field around it. This book is about Jared who goes into the basement and finds this stone with a hole in it. He looks through and sees that there are goblins and tells the others. There is a monster that is the leader of the goblins and he can turn into anything he wants. Will they survive???

I rate this book a ⅖

I liked how Jared finds out and it was a surprise.

I didn’t like that there was no suspense it was just a normal story.
