The Witches Book 15 Illustrated by Quentin Blake

Genre: Fiction
Luke and his grandmother have just received terrible news that Luke’s parents have died in a car crash. Now Luke has to live in England instead of in Norway where his grandmother is form to continue his english studies. His grandmother tells the boy that witches are real and they could be anyone. How do you spot a witch? A witch wears a wig and scratches at there very bald head once and awhile, witches wear gloves to hide their fingers from sight, and then they have square feet but they wear high heels which make it very uncomfortable, and they big nose holes which allows them to sniff out children because of the foul stench kids give off. DOG'S DROPPINGS is what freshly clean kids smell like.
Luke ends up going to The Hotel Magnificent with grandma to help with her health problems and the little mischievous boy ends up finding out that the witches annual meeting is happening where they're staying! The witches are plotting a plan to turn every child in England into a RAT, and only Luke and his Grandma can stop them and kill the Grand High Witch of all the Witches.

I liked how there were many scenes and that the grandma and the boy had a plan to kill all the witches.

Rate: I reckon this book in my opinion would be a 5 out of 5 because it was quite enjoyable and loads of plots.

Esio Trot

Esio Trot

Author: Roald Dahl
Genre: Comedy, Adventure
This is my 3rd book review

Mr. Hoppy lived in a small flat high up in a tall concrete building. He lived on his own and he was very lonely. Now that he had retired he became even more lonely that he was before. Mr. Hoppy only had two loves in his life. The first one was the flowers that he grew on his balcony. He grew them in pots and tubs and they added a nice pop of colour to his balcony in the summer. The second love in Mr. Hoppy’s life was top secret, he was the only person who knew. It was a middle-aged lady called Mrs. Silver. She lived in the same building as Mr. Hoppy but she was on the next floor down. Mr. Hoppy loved Mrs. Silver for years but Mrs. Silver had another love in her life. It was her pet tortoise, Alfie. Mr. Hoppy was jealous of Alfie because he took all of Mrs. Silver’s attention and love but Mr. Hoppy was too shy to tell Mrs. Silver that he was deeply in love with her. One day Mrs. Silver asks Mr. Hoppy how to make Alfie grow and that gives mr hoppy an idea to win the love and attention of Mrs. Silver. He tries using a magical spell as well as a few cabbage leaves. Will that work? Will Mr. Hoppy be able to make Alfie grow big and strong in order to win the heart of Mrs. Silver? Read Roald Dahl's esio trot book to find out!

I rate this book an 8/10 because it was enjoyable but it was too short for my taste.
I liked the concept of this story and how it is about an adventure for love.
I didn’t like the length of the book because for me it was a bit too short.
I recommend this book for people who like reading books about people’s love lives and how they go through so much just to be with that special person!

George's Marvellous Medicine

George's Marvellous Medicine

Author: Roald Dahl

Genre: Fantasy

This book is about a eight year old boy named George. His mother would often go out of the house which meant that George had to stay with his wicked grandmother. “ Now George, don’t get up to mischief and don’t annoy your grandmother. Oh and one more thing, don’t forget to give granny her medicine at 11 o'clock. ” His mother said before leaving. “ Yes mum don’t worry, I won’t forget ” George responded. George didn't like staying with his grandmother but he didn't have a choice. His grandmother was a short, wicked, stone hearted kind of lady. She wasn't like other grandmother's. In fact she was the opposite of other grandmother’s. Instead of playing games with George or spending time with him she would just sit in her rocking chair all day long. One day she told George to stop growing up so fast. George was confused and told her that everybody grows, it’s natural. His grandmother had other thoughts. She said that growing up was a bad thing and to avoid it you should eat, cabbage white caterpillars on them, lettuce with slugs on them and to eat less chocolate. George was completely grossed out so he decided to put an end to her nonsense once and for all. He came up with the idea to make her a special medicine that would make his grandmother a nicer person. The ingredients were crazy and I mean crazy. From jumping fleas to poisonous bumblebee’s, the juice of the fruit of the jujube tree and even a powered bone of a wombat's knee.  George put all of these ingredients into a pot and boiled the living souls out of them. Will he be able to give the medicine to his grandmother, will she become a nicer person because of the medicine.

I rate this book a 8/10
I liked the book because it was short and easy to read.
