The Hobbit
The Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkien
Fantasy, Adventure.
In a hole, in a hill, lived the Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins; Hobbits preferred staying in the comforts of their home, but one day Bilbo went on an adventure of a lifetime.
It started when the mischievous wizard Gandalf tricked poor Bilbo into hosting a group of Dwarfs in his hole. Not three, not four, BUT TWELVE!! Dwalin, Balin, Kili, Fili, Dori, Nori, Ori, Oin, Gloin, Bifur, Bofur and Bombur. After a long time of laughing and singing (from the dwarfs and Gandalf) They hear a knock on the door. Thorin Oakenshield, head of the dwarves and heir to the throne of the destroyed Dwarvish Kingdom, Erebor (now there's Thirteen dwarves).
After the long night, Bilbo had found out that he is the “Burglar” and he must steal the Arkenstone from the large red dragon, Smaug; destroyer of Erebor.
Bilbo, (who was really Indignant) decides to join the dwarves on their Dangerous quest, which will take a year to get there and back again. During their risky Journey, they meet many dangerous foes, including large Spider, ugly trolls, Chilling Goblins, horrifying Orcs, unkind Elves, gigantic Eagles, and Bilbo even steals a magic ring from a strange creature named Gollum.
5/5 It’s my 2nd time reading The Hobbit (3rd time including the time my dad read), and I still enjoyed it. I enjoyed the adventure and characters that you meet throw out the book (My faverate characters are Bard the bowman, his son Bain and Kili). I recommend it to anyone that likes adventure, and fantasy worlds like me.

Beast Quest - Mortaxe The Skeleton Warrior #12 By Adam Blade
Genre: Adventure:
An Explosion has gone off at King Hugo’s palace, so Elenna and Tom have to go to the Gallery of Tombs where all the great beast hunters are buried to find out what the problem is. Elenna is an archer and Tom’s fateful friend, and Tom is just a mischief and brave kid who fights beasts / monsters to protect the kingdom. While the two follow the good wizard Aduro to the Gallery, they bump into Malvel’s Apprentice Petra who has been trained in all the dark spells and enchantments to fight Tom. Petra has risen Mortaxe from the grave to fight for Malvel and control Avantia. Now Tom has to figure a way to defeat the skeleton warrior who is said to be invincible, and by the looks of it, it must be true. But Aduro gives them a map to follow Mortaxe, but the two kindly souls end up being trapped by Avantia’s six good beasts. Tom and Elenna have to fight the beasts in the coliseum which has corrupted Elenna’s mind as well as the beasts. Tom is all alone and it’s up to him to fight the beasts and his friend. The fate of the kingdom is in Tom’s hands. Will Tom figure out how to kill Mortaxe and free all his friends from Petra’s control? Or is Mortaxe really just an unbeatable monster?
I quite enjoyed how Tom had to fight Mortaxe because he’s indestructible warrior who has only one weakness and used to be human, until an evil sorcerer cursed him to transform into a skeleton warrior when dead.
I didn’t like that the only scenes where the palace and a huge arena / coliseum that ended up being destroyed.
I would rate this book a 3 / 5 just because it wasn’t that interesting.

5 Lords of Pain - The Lord of the Void Book #11 By James Lovegrove
Genre: Adventure
Long long ago, demons used to be able to wander free across the lands of our earth and both humans and demons lived together in peace. One day, the 5 lords of pain wanted to disrupt that peace and create an army of demons to take control of the earth. Yoshiro Yamada, a famous japanese warrior, chose to fight off these demons. But instead of facing them all, he challenged the lords of pain and if he won they would have to leave the earth and promise not to harm any more human. But then they came back after 30 years in revenge and killed Yoshiro, but the 5 lords of pain hadn’t kept their promise to not harm a single human so they were cursed back to whence they came and if they returned, the Yamada Clan would always have at least on man child to fight in the contest. Now it is Tom Yamada’s turn to fight the 5 lords of pain but they’ve returned 15 years earlier, causing Tom to train even harder. Tom has a keen witted soul and honour which gave him the power to defeat the Lord of the Mountain. But the Lord of the Void is his next opponent this guy is twice as strong and controls the element of the void. Every time the lords regenerate, they change the way there body is to become stronger so the Lord of the Void could do and be anything. Can Tom defeat the Lord of the Void, and will he lose a friend in the process?
I liked that a story of how the contest began was put in and that some people that aren’t from the Yamaha Clan know about the contest.
I didn’t like how the epic showdown or at least the whole book was short because it could have been a really awesome book if it had more pages.
Rate: 4 / 5 I think it needs more pages.

TombQuest Book 3: Valley of Kings by Michael Northrop
Genre: Action
Burnt bodies of guards and strange sunburns are found near some ancient tombs. Alex now knows that this is the works of a Death Walker that has the power of fire. The three kids need the Book of the Dead to stop anymore Death Walkers from entering their world. Who can they trust now that they know there’s a mole among them.
I enjoyed reading the part where Alex, Ren, and Luke use there Amulets to fight against the Order.
I didn’t really like how I couldn’t find the first book of TombQuest so I found it kind of difficult reading the first couple of chapters.
Rate: If I were to rate this book, I would rate it 4 out of four because it is a good book but it isn’t a great book.
