Winnie - the - Pooh #18

Author: A.A. Milne

Winnie the Pooh is a yellow bear who lacks in intelligence. But thanks to his friends Piglet, Eeyore, and of course Christopher Robin he is never away from a big adventure. In this kids book, Pooh nearly catches a Woozle and heads of for an adventure to the North Pole with the other animals.

Personally, I liked how I could understand this book.
What I didn't like is that it's a kid book and pretty boring.
I rate this book 3/5 because this book isn't for my age.

This book is about teenage Thomas who has just come out of the maze and is taken to a secret facility to be tested on. Wicked is planning to restore the memory of the survivors of the maze.

But Thomas has remembered more than wicked and the scientist think, and knows that wicked is not good.

The lying is over but the truth is far more dangerous than the survivors could imagine. Will anyone survive the death cure ?

I rate this book a ⅗

I think that it is a better idea to read the other two books first before reading this book.

If you read this book first you will find it hard to understand.

I liked the descriptive language in the book

I disliked how the book switch from one character talking to another character talking because it was confusing.  

Bear Grylls

Bear grylls is taking the biggest threat of his life, he is going to taking a ride in the jungle. The jungle is so dangerous because you never know who there is. He was sent overcome one of his challenges. It was one of the hardest challenge he has ever discovered.

Heart grills is nervous but ready, because he knows how it feels like. He has been somewhere worse than a jungle,but he didn't know what kind of different creatures there were. Snakes, bears, lion and even tigers, that what made the journey fun to read and a bit interesting to read.

Rate: 8/10

There were some intersecting bits in the book

Dislike: It was hard to the story lunch because there were lots of twist and turns.

Spark Rachel Craw

One day Evie is a normal teenage girl. The next she is a Sheild, designed to kill inorder to protect. the only bad thing is that her spark is her best friend and sheilds dont usually save their first spark. but for some reason evie is evolving alot earlier than she should and that is worring her boyfriend, jamie and her aunt , miriam. but once the stray is revealed they find out that the spark, Aidan is Evies long lost twin and Miriam is actually their mum. evie is shocked she doesent even know what to say. she doesnt want to kill her brother, but she doesnt want to. Evie and Aidan both end up in hospital but they are not dead. Evie some how defuses Aidan and they both get to live.


What i liked it about it: The book was like an adventure. it took you to many different places and even near death.

What i didnt like: Evie didnt kill the stray.

My rating: 10/10 because it was a fabulous book.

The setting is in Timmy's apartment, school. Timmy’s apartment is little but good for them since it is only him and his mum. The book before this one Timmy gets kicked out of school, in this book he gets given another chance witch he’s not happy with.

The main characters are Timmy, his mum, his friend Rollo and corrina corrina. Timmy is a selfish, trusts no one and works for a spy agency. His mum is a kind and forgivable women. His friend Rollo is really smart and will do anything to get a perfect score. Corrina Corrina is Timmy’s partner for the science project, but Timmy doesn’t want to work with her because he thinks she's evil.

Timmy is a spy and he gets a top secret mission. It was to get a science report. But not just any report, it was the miracle report. The grade that was given to it was A+++++. He is warned that there are other spies looking for it to. Will he be the one to get the miracle report or will he be too late???

I rate this book a 5/5. I liked the mystery at the end when he finds out that his friend Rollo was on of the spies looking for the miracle report. I had no dislikes.

In the beginning Mr. Fyde is George Beard and Harold Hutchins science teacher at school. George and Harold are cheeky and smart thinkers.  They love to do pranks on anyone, at anytime. One day when they had science as a class, George and Harold put a bit, too much vinegar with baking soda but we all know that, it wasn’t an accident.  I learnt that the vinegar acts as a liberating agent, which releases the gaseous carbonate radical element of the sodium bicarbo. George and Harold have great minds and were very interested of experimenting on the volcano. One of their pranks were sticking a note onto the kitchen ladies room on the door with the recipe of cupcakes but added with vinegar and baking soda. “Who ever bakes these, will be in for big a surprise!” George and Harold say with a huge smile across their face.

I like how the Captain Underpants books are nice and short and are just quick to read. Especially if you don't like reading.

They must now try to convince the Parehe to hand them the Mauru Stone to save their tribe. Perekoi decides that he must trade his future first born for the stone. Years past and Kahu and his twin sister Mira are born. As they grow older, they meet a Parehe girl, named Kuratawhiti. Kuhu immediately fell in love with her. Many more years past Kah̄u and Kuratawhiti, plan to bring their tribes together through their marriage. But Kah̄u is forced defend Kuratawhiti against his sister, Mira.

What I liked was the dark art style, and villains.

What I didn't like was that the ending seemed rushed.

Synopsis:

This book is based on a true story about a jewish boy named felix who gets sent to an orphanage by his parents who are jewish book writers. One day he thought his parents sent him a sign that they are still alive so he set a quest to try and find them and one night he came across a burning building with 2 adults on the ground dead it looked like they had been shot. After exploring a bit more he found a little girl named Zelda so he took her with him on his journey. When they woke up the next morning a nazie solder was holding a maciane gun at their heads and they were made to joine the rest of the jews that were walking with the soldiers right behind them they were going to the city. After many hours of walking they got there and a man named barney quickly took them before the soldiers could grab them barney took them to a place where there was many other jews they stayed there for a few nights untill the nazies found them they took everyone on a big train and they were being taken to a death camp. But felix only just managed to escape through a rotted hole in the wall. he was lying on the empty field and finally realised that his parents were killed by the nazies.

1 rate this book a 5/5 because it keeped me entertained and there was nothing bad about it.

Solomon Smee and the monkeys

In the kingdom of elsewhere sits a little town so small that only map makers have heard of it.The town is called Royal Nerdal and is having some issues. It’s constantly robbed. But who is Causing all of this ? well no one really knows until now. Monkeys. Small, little, brown, mindless And flea infested monkeys are causing this town to go completely bankrupt.

In a school sits a little boy that is about 10 years old doing his work. He wears a bright red shirt, blue jeans

And brown rimmed glasses that sit just above his pointy nose. He has straw like hair that is dead black. His name is Solomon Smee. Why is he so important ? he’s just a nerd in a tiny school that lives in a tiny town. Well believe it or not it won't be the police that stops the monkeys it won't be the fire department it will be Solomon smee.

It is now up to Solomon to save his town while keeping it secret.

His Misery/ the characters

Jesse is a boy who is having a miserable life at the moment. this is because of the bullying he gets at school from Gary who is not only a tease to Jesse but also one of the fast runners like Jesse. but Gary isn't the only bully, Janice is the meanest girl you could ever meet, looking like a tomboyish intimidating person. From taking little kids Twinkies to making girls pay to use the toilets. And don't even get me started on the irritation he gets from his sister, or the duties he is burdened with from his father. 

Formation of a friendship

In a race he is beaten by a new girl called Leslie; a friendly cheerful girl that sees the world as an adventure. Because a girl beat him in a race, Jesse in humiliated and ashamed. Until later on when they walked home together, with Leslie being kind and caring in the situation that Jessie is in and form a great friendship between each other.

Journey starting

One day when they were hanging together after school, they find themselves swinging from side to side of a creek and then end up on the other side exploring the land. it was not until Jesse opened his heart did he see the pure beauty that Leslie saw. They called it Terabithia!

Turning Reality into their fantasyJesse started visiting the place more and more times with Leslie and discovered an abandoned tree house. To mark this area they fixed it all up and claimed it as theirs. Jesse being reminded of Janice the school bully suddenly saw her or a figure look like her in Terabithia. Imagine her but ten times bigger like a giant and covered in plants for clothes. But rather than Janice being mean to him, she catches him when he was falling from the top of a tree to get his fathers keys from there. then releasing him softly to safe ground. This changing Jesse's point of view of Janice. the weird thing was, is that Janice was also kind at school too when Leslie was nice to her. it was like his fantasy turned into real life.

So everything has been alright so far, so what's wrong with it? well you'll just have to read it yourself to find out......

Personal view

I love this story, except it gets really sad i hate the ending of it....... why does it have to end like that!! The imagination used is so creative and unique. i give this a 4/5 just 'cause me personally I don't like sad endings. but I did love.

Tom gates Excellent exuses L.Picon

Tom gates is finaly on holiday for 2 whole weeks! but he get's a letter from school and he has to do home work. he grabs a book and copies some of it so his homework is finished quckly. once he is back at school him and his friend derek put a poster up for a new drummer in their band. the only person that actually signed up was norman and surprisingly he did well.

what i liked: i liked that there were different text styles and that made it funnier to read.
what i didn't like: i liked it all
Would i reccomend it? yes i would reccomend it is a fabulous book.
My rating: 7 out of 10.

All of the fighting, preparing and scouting that is done has all lead up to a battle of death, will the Unicorns prevail or die trying.

What I liked about the book: I liked how it was interesting to read and some parts were funny.

What I disliked about the book: I didn’t really dislike anything about the book than purely it was way too long (403 pages).

Recommendation: I would recommend it for anyone and would give it a ⅘ because it was an alright book but wasn’t good enough for a 5.

My Dad The All Black

The book I read was called “my dad the all black” and it was a pretty good book, The main character was called will, who was a son of a famous rugby player. Will was determined to play rugby which he loved, and people always used to say he is good at it.

After a while Will gets a massage which broke his heart, his grandfather had died. Jim (uncle) wasn’t going to go to his dad's funeral which Will questioned. Will was at home and saw his mom smoking and wasn’t pleased at all.

He asked his mom why his dad wasn’t alive, his mom was trying to hide the truth but couldn’t. She gives the information to will that Will’s dad was involved in a car crash which killed him, the most shocking truth was that Jim was driving the car.

Like: All of the twist and turns in the book

Disliked: nothing

Synopsis:

This graphic novel tells you lots of different storys about the guardians Groot a walking and talking tree, Gamora the most dangerous women in the universe and daughter of Thanos the main bad guy, Rocket raccoon, star lord and Drax. rocket raccoon and Groot get together to save a princess from Thanos men  but a bounty turned them against each other  Groot tries to catch rocket raccoon and give him into Thanos. But after a lot of convincing Groot finally came to his senses and went back on the guardian's side.

I rate this book a 3/5 because it did not make much sense to me and it started to get boring.

Two lovers from opposite tribes, Kahu and Kuratawhiti, plan to bring their fighting tribes together through their marriage. But tragedy rome's as Kahu defends his beloved against his raging sister.

A 3 year old boy climbing over a 3 foot fence, doodling through bushes and wire, falling down a 50 foot drop into a 400 pound gorilla exhibit. Emotional people saying “that it was the mothers fault for not supervising her child!” Terrified people saying “why didn’t the zoo keepers, do something earlier?” People still ask “why wasn’t Harambe tranquillise not shot?”  Most say, “tranquilliser's take too long and annoy animals they go crazy.” Zoo keepers made a decision to shoot Harambe. He didn’t know his strengths, very confused and if the child was in Harambe’s enclosure any longer the child could have been badly hurt or worse, killed. the 3 year boy was dragged by his ankles through the water, while his head was hitting the concrete repeatedly. The child's mother screaming for help, she knew that his life was endangered, but still tried to keep him calm, “Mummy loves you, it's going to be okay, stay calm.” He cried and yelled, he was terrified, “MUM!”  Harambe was killed. People visit his grave, ‘RIP!’ The boy survived the accident, returning home with only a concussion and a few scars.

I think the Zoo keepers made the right choice. They saved the boy’s life!

This book is a very interesting graphic novel set in the village and it is about a chief and all the people of his village are dieing and he wants to find a magic stone and put it in the ground but the holder of the stone gets told if it can be borrowed for 100 moons and the stone holder says I will do it for an exchange. Years later the stone holder comes and setall the chief and locks him up until the son marries the daughter.  The daughter and son train and train until they try to free the dad.

This book is about a girl named Lilith who is living in a hell all thanks to a boy named Cam. Cam broke Lilith's heart three millennia ago when they were dating and Lilith is now suffering because of his actions. Lilith is an average teen girl who wasn't very popular. She went to Trumbull High School and felt left out by the other girls because she wasn't as popular as they were. The girl she hated most was called Chloe King. The whole school knew who she was and everybody admired her. Chloe would insult Lilith as much as possible and she enjoyed doing so.

Lilith was living in a hell controlled by a guy named Lucifer. He had a spherical, glass ball and that ball was the hell Lilith was living in. Lucifer had trapped Lilith in the glass ball because of Cam actions. Cam would often meet Lucifer and beg him to set Lilith free but Lucifer wasn't going to let her go so easily, so he made a get with Cam. The bet was that Cam had 15 days to win Lilith's heart in order to set her free from Lucifer's hell. " Easy." Cam said with confidence. " But." Lucifer added. " If you do not succeed, there will be a place in a hell for you too. " Cam was nervous now that Lucifer had told him his part of the bet but he maintained his confidence. Cam Lucifer and Cam shook hands and Cam's 15 days begun.

Cam explored around the neighbourhood, hoping to find Lilith somewhere, today he was in luck. He found Lilith sitting by a tree in a forest named Rattle Snake Creek. There was a special Carob tree that Lilith would always sit under and play her guitar. Cam approached Lilith slowly, not wanting to startle her and simply said "hello." Lilith jumped up with a shock, she wasn't expecting someone to meet her. She turned around just to see Cam staring directly at her. " Who are you and what are you doing here? " Lilith asked. " My name is Cam and I've just moved here. " Lilith was confused as to why a random boy started talking to her but she didn't say anything. She didn't know why, but she hated Cam and she didn't even know him. Something about him made her very angry but she didn't know what is was.

The next day, Lilith was at school opening her locker when she heard a familiar voice. The voice of Cam. She glanced up from her locker just to see Cam opening the one next to hers. " Not you again. " Lilith thought angrily. Cam knew that Lilith didn't like him at all but he didn't give up. He was determined to win Lilith's heart and set her free from the hell she was in. The bell rang and the hallway was absolute chaos with students running around and teachers getting to their classes. Lilith sat down at her usual seat in her homeroom class and funnily enough, Cam was in the same homeroom as her, sitting no further than three seats down. Lilith was very, very angry and annoyed because it seemed as if Cam was following her around. Cam knew that she felt this way but still he was not discouraged.

Days flew by and Lilith seemed to hate Cam more than she did before. At this point, Cam was feeling a bit disappointed with himself because he was confident that he could win over Lilith's heart with ease, but know he thinks the complete opposite. Cam needs to up his game if he wants to set Lilith free. What can Cam do to win Lilith's heart with the small amount of time he has left? Time is ticking away and Cam is flustered, he doesn't know what do to.

My Questions So Far:
Will Cam be able to win Lilith's heart and set her free?
Will Lilith start to grow feelings for Cam?
Who will win the bet, Lucifer or Cam?

I rate this book a 10/10

Likes:
I love the story line of this book because it kept me hooked all the way through, even until then end. I never felt like the story was getting boring because there were twists and turns along the way that I never saw coming. I also love the combination of drama, mystery and romance in this book because it all ties in together to make what I would say is a perfect book.

Dislikes:
I had no dislikes.
