Hazel, Grace, Lancaster is a sixteen-year-old girl with cancer and it's spread to her lungs. She attends a support group meeting and finds herself bumping into Augustus waters a seventeen-year-old boy who was once a basketball player but had to stop because of losing his leg from osteosarcoma. These two become best of friends in just one day.
They then exchange books with each other. Augustus reading 'Imperial Affliction' and Hazel reading 'The Prince of Dawn'. when Augustus was finished reading 'Imperial Affliction' he became bothered, by the way, the story just came to an abrupt ending. Augustus and Hazel sent emails asking for an explanation of the ending of the story, getting a reply to come to Amsterdam and ask him in person.
when they get there they find themselves falling in love after having a tragic experience with the author who was drunk and miserable. But then when the have just fallen in love with each other Augustus is hit with cancer! Will he survive? How will he cope? How will she cope? Read the book and find out.
I LOVE this book it's so emotional and unexpected. the way Hazel thinks that she is so miserable and has this cancer and then finds out that Augustus is nearer to death than she is is incredible.
I rate this book a 20/20 and recommend it to those who are ready to cry.
Fantastic book review Shay!!! All you need to add is a picture of the book cover and what book review out of 20 this is!! There are just a couple errors that I can see which can be fixed up with a bit of proof-reading. Apart from that I just wanted to say that I have read this book and I was devastated at the end :(
