This book is about an average family of four. Mum, Dad, Joss and Cecile. Joss loved Cecile more than anything and Cecile felt the same way about Joss. Joss liked teasing Cecile because it made her angry and Joss loved Cecile even more when she was angry, she would fold her arms in front of herself and wrinkle up her nose. "Come on guys, breakfast is nearly ready", mum yells. Joss and Cecile both raced down the stairs and sat side by side on the bar stools. Cecile started getting bored so Joss decided to occupy her by playing a game of tic tac toe. Joss purposely lost to make Cecile happy but the complete opposite happened. Cecile had realised that Joss let her win and told Joss to play properly. Joss laughed and started to set up another game but by then breakfast was ready. After breakfast, Joss got ready and went off to school. Joss didn't like going to school because he had no friends. Joss was known as the invisible kid because other kids didn't want to hang out with him. Joss kept looking at the clock until finally, it was 3 o'clock. Joss got home at around 10 minutes past three and there, waiting for him, was Cecile. Joss played with Cecile, did his homework, had dinner and went straight off to bed. For some reason he couldn't sleep, he kept tossing and turning. Minutes later he heard a familiar sound. The sound was of Cecile crying. Joss leaped out of bed and tiptoed across the hall until he got to Cecile's room. He slowly opened the door until he was able to peek inside. The crying stopped. Joss opened the door a little bit further and tripped over one of Cecile's toys. He landed on his tummy and looked up to find something and made his jaw drop. There, in front of him, was Cecile, her face as pale as snow, a line of blood sliding down her neck all the way to her pink sheets. Joss was absolutely shocked. Joss was even more terrified because he saw a man in Cecile's room, staring directly at him. He had pointed, yellow teeth and fangs covered in blood. The man crouched down beside Joss and the smell of Cecile's blood on the man's fangs almost made him gag. The man said to Joss that it would be better if he forgot my face and never told anyone about what he had just seen.

My Questions So Far:

Why did that man murder an innocent little girl?
Will Joss be able to identify that man and bring Cecile justice?

I rate this book a 6/10

I liked how every little detail in this book was revealed slowly, it made the book more exciting and mysterious.

I disliked how the book got a little bit boring after Cecile died because Joss becomes the invisible child at home like he was at school. His parents acted as if their only child was Cecile and they completely ignore Joss.
