It's the summer holidays and Greg Heffley isn’t like all the other kids because, when it is summer holidays most kids would be outside enjoying the sun playing at the beach and swimming. But not Greg Heffley he is more interested in sitting inside playing video games.

Last summer holidays Greg was with his best friend Rowley because they belong to the country club and last holidays they invited the new girl and after about 2 minutes of being there she met a lifeguard and forgot about the people that invited her there.

Greg’s mum kept wanting him to take his little brother manny to the public pool but Greg keeps refusing because he has horrible memories there. Greg's mum is saying that they won't be going on a family holiday this year because we are broke.

I would recommend this book a 4 / 5

Because it is a good and funny book to read if you like humor
