Marco Gonzales is a kid who is obsessed with the Ooze who is a famous comic super villain with the power to ooze his enemies in hot oil sludge. When he visits Jonathan Chiller's Horror Shop inside Horrorland, he finds the rarest edition of the Oozes Comic ‘The Wizard of Ooze’ along with a bookmark just lying around and Marco even gets it for free. Inside the book told you how to get superpowers and saying to find the power within you but Gabriela (Marco’s friend) says it’s just fake but Marco tries it anyway because he's obsessed. He soon finds out that they actually work but the powers only lasted 10 seconds and ended he up with a bloody nose, ripped clothes, and some numbness. The Comic Convention was on so Marco and Gabriela head in and end up meeting the Ooze who is really interested in Marco's Comic who doesn't want to give it away. When the two leave they feel like someone's following them. The Ooze is on Marco's trail threatening him to give up the comic but something tells him that he was the real Ooze because of the smell of tar and the oil sludge that the Ooze leaves behind. Will Marco find the power within him and defeat the Ooze, or will Marco become sludged like the guys in his comic book collection for REAL!!!

I liked how the Comic Book was able to actually give you superpowers and that the bookmark was something that was need to make the powers permanent instead of lasting for 10 seconds.

I didn’t like how there were only some pages because it really got interesting and if the character ‘Winner Taikall’ was involved in the story more.

Rate: 5 / 5 because it was such an enjoyable book to read.
