Firstly, it all begins at the village. Hineamuru and Pehi went for a stroll away from the village. Hineamumu’s father Te Mihiau ordered a slave to bring Hineamumu back to the village. The polient and lovely slave was named Meariki. Meariki caught up to the two love birds. “Your father wants you to return back to the village.” Pehi treated the slave like she was a pest. He mentioned her as a slave scum, which was very disrespectful. Pehi and Hineamunu, didn’t listen to the Meariki and kept walking further down the path. They came upon a river. Well Pehi and Meariki were arguing and calling each other names, “crayfish head, “farty breathe,” Hineamunu  was relaxing and cooling off in the river.

Back at the village, Tanekikiwa appeared, with no invitation at all. The chief, Te Mihiau yelled “return to the other side, banish with your dark magic.” Bulky, muscled, red eye Vile Demon. Flew off into the sky on his huge terrifying eagle, to capture hineamunu. To be his beloved wife. His evil magic was impact in a flute.

I loved this book. I would rather read this book over and over again than Arohanui, revenge of the fey.
