The Spooks: Secret by Joseph Delaney #17

Genre - Fantasy, Horror
The Spook and his apprentice (Tom Ward) head to their Winter House; were Meg (a lamia witch) is waiting. In the house is a cellar holding witches and boggarts, and a silver gate keeping them locked in. As usual, Meg is given herb tea to keep her from remembering who she really is…    but something’s different this year. A stranger, who was a failed apprentice to the Spook, is threatening Tom’s master. But why? Does it have anything to do with Golgoth? Golgoth is one of the strongest gods of the ancients, with the power to control winter. The dark is growing, as well as the wind, and only Tom and his master can stop it. Will Tom be able to defeat the anonymous apprentice, and will Meg remember what she’s capable of? Read the book, if you dare……

I quite liked reading the spook series, with all the mythical monsters that Tom has to defeat.
The only thing I found disappointing, was that I thought Morgan was going to end up fighting Tom and the Spook which would have made it more thrilling.

Rate - 5 / 5 because I really like this book for all of its twists and turns.

  2. Good book review tyrone. I like how you used punctuation and the last sentence is spot on. That just wants to hook the reader in. Well done.
